Dos argentinos murieron y otro permanece internado tras quedar atrapados por una avalancha de nieve en un centro de esquí de Canadá, mientras que otros tres integrantes del grupo de amigos resultaron ilesos.
“Estábamos los seis en una parte, nos tiramos y se desprendió una avalancha muy grande de 100 metros de ancho que nos agarró a tres”, relató Josué Alonso, al diario La Voz del Pueblo de la localidad bonaerense de Tres Arroyos, de donde es oriundo.
El hombre, que está internado en una clínica de Calgary desde que ocurrió el hecho el pasado jueves, dijo que la nieve los arrastró por saltos de piedra y árboles, y los golpeó violentamente.
Como consecuencia de estos goles, murieron dos de sus amigos, Gerónimo Regina, de la localidad de Lobos, y Manuel Sáenz de, City Bell, La Plata, mientras que Alonso fue encontrado por una turista alemana que buscaba sobrevivientes.
“Había quedado con el cuerpo bajo la nieve y la cabeza afuera. Tenía el aparato de seguridad que es para avalanchas que emite ondas para que logren encontrarnos, gracias a Dios contaba con eso y pudieron rastrearme. Me desenterraron, tengo la pierna derecha bastante quebrada, tibia y peroné en tres partes, el tobillo quebrado en varias partes y la pelvis también, activaron todos los sistemas de rescate en helicóptero y me trasladaron a la clínica”, narró.
Los seis amigos habían partido el domingo anterior en un viaje en motorhome y se detuvieron en los centros de esquí en la zona de Kicking Horse, a unos 200 kilómetros de Calgary.
